إِنindeed الحَليمthe forbearing محمداًMuhammad مِنof معشرٍa people
إِن الحَليم محمداً مِن معشرٍ
شرفتwas ennobled بِهمthrough them مصرٌEgypt وزادand increased علاهاits eminence
شرفت بِهم مصرٌ وزاد علاها
Indeed, forbearing Muhammad belongs to a people
Indeed the forbearing Muhammad is from a group
through whom Egypt was ennobled and its eminence grew.
That honored Egypt and increased its glory
هُوَhe is بَينهمamong them بَدرa full moon مُنيرradiant قَدindeed بَداappeared
هُوَ بَينهم بَدر مُنير قَد بَدا
يَزهوshines بِنُورwith the light of عُلومهhis learning وَسَناهاand its radiance
يَزهو بِنُور عُلومه وَسَناها
Among them he is a radiant full moon that has appeared,
He is among them a shining full moon that has appeared
shining with the light of his learning and its radiance.
Blossoming with the light of his knowledge and distinction
هُوَhe is كنزa treasure of مَعروفkindness وَكَعبةand a Kaaba for وافدa visitor
هُوَ كنز مَعروف وَكَعبة وافد
هُوَhe is حصنthe fortress of مصرEgypt وَعزُّهاand its might وَحِماهاand its protection
هُوَ حصن مصر وَعزُّها وَحِماها
He is a treasure of kindness and a Kaaba for visitors.
He is a known treasure andKaaba of visitors
He is Egypt's fortress, its might, and its protection.
He is Egypt’s fortress, honor, and protection
هُوَhe is دَوحةa great tree مُدَّتwas spread wide وَأَورقَand put forth leaves غُصنُهاits branch
هُوَ دَوحة مُدَّت وَأَورقَ غُصنُها
وَظِلالُهاand its shade عَمَّتspread over all وَطابَand grew fair سَماهاits sky
وَظِلالُها عَمَّت وَطابَ سَماها
He is a great tree, spread wide, whose branch has put forth leaves;
He is a palm tree that has grown and whose branch has leafed
and its shade has spread over all, and its sky has grown fair.
And its shade has expanded and its sky has cleared
