I built a house in my fortress in Egypt,

To watch the enemies from it by night,

And to scorch them, even if they gain protection

From Mars on the day of combat.

And should I fear battle, when I have troops

Before whom horsemen are humbled in combat?

And in my realm I have sound judgment

That brings me to my goal amid the fray.
