How many favors the eminent man has bestowed upon humankind—
How many hands has the noble Prophet extended
Beyond all counting in books!
To the needy across the land, beyond all count,
وَلَكمand how many لَهُhe has مِنof همةan aspiration مِنfrom دُونِهاbeneath it

And how many aspirations he has, beneath which
And how many lofty aspirations has he had
Lie the aspirations of the overseers who came before!
Nobler than all other hopes however grand.

And how many transit stations have been honored
How many way stations have been honored
By him—a gallant man who wards off dangers!
By his valor that dispelled all harm and danger,

And how often he has raised up every fallen one who turned for refuge
And for how many has he removed distress
To him from among us, and showered him with wealth.
Coming to their aid, blessing them with his generosity.

And it is he who opened the homes after
He it was who opened doors long shut
They had been shut, and cleared the grit from eyes.
And erased the blindness from all eyes,

And he became worthy of praise and acclaim
And he became worthy of all praise and glory
Among people, and of exalted standing.
Among mankind, exalted in rank and stature.

I am one who has been obliged to him
Along with all my peers in Egypt.
With all those in Egypt whose eyes perceive,

For he stood ready to ward off every calamity
As he prepared to dispel every blemish
From anyone fortunate enough to receive his protection.
From those fortunate to obtain his favors.

And he aided the distressed and rescued one seeking refuge
He gave relief to the anguished and rescued the fugitive
Under his protection, from poverty and humiliation.
With his noble spirit from want and degradation.

And over the sons of the homelands he unfurled his banner
Over the sons of nations he raised his banner
And protected them from the onslaught of the wicked.
And protected them from the evil of villains.

Yet I ask him to fulfill what
Yet I hope from him the realization of what
I submitted at the celebration of the Chosen One's birth,
I concluded in the birth ode of the Chosen One,

So that I may spread his praise among humankind
So that I disseminate his praise among all people
And with it always adorn my poems.
And with it forever adorn my poetry.
