خفضbrought low اللَهGod بَعدَafter رَفعraising غَبياa fool
خفض اللَه بَعدَ رَفع غَبيا
خائِناًa traitor لَيسَis not بِالعُهودto the covenants وَفيّاfaithful
خائِناً لَيسَ بِالعُهود وَفيّا
God brought a fool low after raising him up,
God lowered the one He had raised, an ignoramus
A traitor, not faithful to covenants,
A traitor, not true to his word
خائبa failure الرَأيjudgment فيin جَميعall القَضاياmatters
خائب الرَأي في جَميع القَضايا
خاطبcourting البَغيoppression جاهِلاignorantly
خاطب البَغي جاهِلا
A failure in judgment in every matter,
Whose opinion always failed
Courting oppression in ignorance,
Who addressed the rebel ignorantly
أَجبنthe most cowardly العالمينof all people شَرّthe worst
أَجبن العالمين شَرّ
سوؤهhis evil عَمّspread throughout دانياthose near وَقصياand those far
سوؤه عَمّ دانيا وَقصيا
The most cowardly of all people, the worst;
The worst coward in the two worlds
His evil spread to those near and far.
His evil spread far and wide
زادَهُmay He increase him اللَهGod مَسخةًdisfigurement وَضَلالاًand error
زادَهُ اللَه مَسخةً وَضَلالاً
وَبَلاءand affliction فيin هَذِهِthis سرمدياeverlasting
وَبَلاء في هَذِهِ سرمديا
May God increase his disfigurement and error,
God increased his torment and misguidance
And everlasting affliction in this [life].
And affliction eternally
