In al-Asafi, above cities and states.
In Al-Asefy over all nations and states

The foremost of dignitaries, who revived, through his resolve
The chief of chiefs who revived with his determination
And his determination, the reign of knowledge and action.
And resolve the state of knowledge and deed

And cast ignorance down beneath the layers of the earth,
And ignorance he brought down under the earth's crust
And made knowledge rise in the circle of Aries.
And raised knowledge in the abode of glory
فياso, O لَهُfor him مِنof عَزيزٍan exalted lord مصرُEgypt زينتُهاher adornment
فيا لَهُ مِن عَزيزٍ مصرُ زينتُها
بِحُسنِthrough the beauty of مرآهhis appearance لاnot بالحُلْيِwith jewels والحللand fine robes
بِحُسنِ مرآه لا بالحُلْيِ والحلل
What an exalted lord he is! Egypt's adornment
What a mighty man whose decoration of Egypt
Lies in the beauty of his presence, not in jewels and robes.
Is by the beauty of his mirror, not jewelry and garments

It has become a shrine of knowledge, visited
The farthest lands, as in the ages of old.
From the furthest lands as in the early eras

And how not, when its merchandise was returned to it
Through the resolve of al-Dawari, generosity's refuge, the hero.
By the efforts of Al-Daweery like the valiant cave of refuge

May my Lord preserve him in her for all time, so she may see
May God keep him in it for a long time to see
More from his justice than would satisfy her hopes.
From his justice more than the desired hopes
