    For Sa'id of the noble ones, a bountiful year.

    In it, praising him is sweet to all people.

    فيهِ عِندَ اللقا عَبيرٌ وَطيب

    And his fragrance wafts from him through Egypt;

    In him, when met, are fragrance and perfume.

    And for each of the subjects, in it,

    There is always a share of his bounty.

    And he will attain what he wishes; and hastening

    To his exalted station in it is a victory close at hand.

    And joy circles about a throne

    Adorned by the just and discerning man he is.

    دائِماً صَدره الشَريف رَحيب

    Adorned by the kingly awe that emanates from him;

    His noble breast is ever broad.

    May God strengthen his rule with troops,

    Like lions, whose steadfastness is wondrous—

    And his lofty example was followed in uprightness

    By Tosun, his intelligent, discerning cub—

    So long as on every bough his praises are sung

    By a nightingale, offering congratulations through all time,

    Or it sings and says to Glory, “Record the date:

    For Sa'id of the noble ones, a bountiful year.”
