كِتاباً بِهِ في مَصر يَنشَرح الصَدرُ
Following the custom of those gone before, the translator offers
The translator guides upon the ways of the ancients
A book that brings joy to the heart in Egypt.
A book through which in Egypt the breast is gladdened

And indeed, the noblest of gifts for the fortunate one
Truly gifts for the blessed are most noble
Is a precious book, not pure gold or gold dust.
A precious book, neither withering nor fading
