بُشراكَ أَحمَد في أُفق السُعود بَدا

بُشراكَ أَحمَد في أُفق السُعود بَدا

بِطَلعة في سَناها لِلأَنام هُدَى

بِطَلعة في سَناها لِلأَنام هُدَى

Glad tidings to you: Ahmad has appeared on felicity’s horizon,

Glad tidings to you! Ahmad has appeared on the horizon of good fortune,

with a countenance whose radiance holds guidance for all humankind.

With a countenance in whose radiance lies guidance for humankind.

وَالمَجد لَما أَتى أَضحى يُؤرخه

وَالمَجد لَما أَتى أَضحى يُؤرخه

نُور الهُدى بِالذَكا مِن صاحب وَلَدا

نُور الهُدى بِالذَكا مِن صاحب وَلَدا

And when he came, Glory began to record his date:

And when he came, Glory began to mark his birth with a chronogram:

‘The Light of Guidance, in remembrance—a child from a master.’

“The light of guidance, with brilliance, was born of a lord.”
