أَقبل البشر خادِماً للسعودِ

أَقبل البشر خادِماً للسعودِ

في رِكاب السَعيد قطب الوجودِ

Joy arrived as a servant to good fortune,

In the retinue of the fortunate Sa'id, the axis of existence.

وَتجلّى في حلة الملك يَزهو

وَتجلّى في حلة الملك يَزهو

بِسَماء العَلاء بَين الجُنود

بِسَماء العَلاء بَين الجُنود

And he appeared in royal robes, resplendent

In the firmament of glory amid the troops.

فَلَدى العود قال لي السَعد أَرّخ

فَلَدى العود قال لي السَعد أَرّخ

أَزهرت دارنا بِنُور سَعيد

أَزهرت دارنا بِنُور سَعيد

Then, at the return, Good Fortune said to me, “Record the date:

Our home has blossomed with the light of Sa'id.”
