بُشرى لَقَد شَرف الملا بِسَعيدِهِ

بُشرى لَقَد شَرف الملا بِسَعيدِهِ

لَما كَسا العليا مَلابسَ عيدِهِ

لَما كَسا العليا مَلابسَ عيدِهِ

Good tidings! The assembly has gained honor through its Sa‘id,

When he clothed glory in the garments of his feast.

وَأَنال مَصر بحزمه في عَصره

وَأَنال مَصر بحزمه في عَصره

جاهاً وَأَرهَب خَصمَها بِجُنوده

جاهاً وَأَرهَب خَصمَها بِجُنوده

And through his resolve, in his day, he granted Egypt

Prestige, and terrified her foe with his troops.

وَأَثابَها مِن فضله فَوق الَّذي

وَأَثابَها مِن فضله فَوق الَّذي

تَرجو مِن الإقبال تَحتَ بنوده

تَرجو مِن الإقبال تَحتَ بنوده

And from his bounty he rewarded her beyond what

She hopes for by way of prosperity beneath his banners.

وَاللَه أَرسله فَأَحيا عَدلَه

وَاللَه أَرسله فَأَحيا عَدلَه

بِطَريفه فيها رُسوم تَليده

بِطَريفه فيها رُسوم تَليده

And God sent him, so his justice revived

Through his new deeds there, the traces of his ancestral legacy.

لا زال ينشده الهَناء مؤرخاً

لا زال ينشده الهَناء مؤرخاً

عيد الأَضاحي فازَ باسم سَعيده

عيد الأَضاحي فازَ باسم سَعيده

May joy never cease singing to him, marking the date:

“The Feast of Sacrifice has triumphed through the name of its Sa‘id.”
