وَدّعوا بِالدُموع شَهر الصِلاتِ

وَدّعوا بِالدُموع شَهر الصِلاتِ

وَصِلوا فيهِ صَومَكُم بِالصَلاةِ

وَصِلوا فيهِ صَومَكُم بِالصَلاةِ

Bid farewell with tears to the month of bounties,

And join your fasting in it with prayer.

وَاذكروا اللَه فيهِ ذكراً كَثيراً

وَاذكروا اللَه فيهِ ذكراً كَثيراً

لِتَفوزوا بِالأَجر قَبل الفَوات

لِتَفوزوا بِالأَجر قَبل الفَوات

And remember God abundantly in it,

So that you may gain the reward before it is too late.

وَاجبروا ما مَضى بِحُسن اعتِكاف

وَاجبروا ما مَضى بِحُسن اعتِكاف

وَاحتِفال بِشأَنه والتفات

وَاحتِفال بِشأَنه والتفات

And make amends for what has passed through proper devotional retreat,

And by giving it due care and attention.

فَهوَ شَهرٌ فيهِ الدُعا مُستَجاب

فَهوَ شَهرٌ فيهِ الدُعا مُستَجاب

بِنُصوص مَأثورة عَن ثِقات

بِنُصوص مَأثورة عَن ثِقات

For it is a month in which supplication is answered,

According to texts handed down from trustworthy transmitters.

فَاطلبوا الآن مِن رَؤوف رَحيم

فَاطلبوا الآن مِن رَؤوف رَحيم

فيهِ مَحو الذُنوب وَالسيّئات

فيهِ مَحو الذُنوب وَالسيّئات

So ask now of the Compassionate, the Merciful,

In it, for the erasure of sins and misdeeds.
