يا مَعدَن السُلوك وَالأَسرارِ

يا مَعدَن السُلوك وَالأَسرارِ

وَدَوحةَ الأَزهار وَالأَثمارِ

وَدَوحةَ الأَزهار وَالأَثمارِ

O mine of spiritual wayfaring and mysteries,

O mine of spiritual wayfaring and secrets,

and spreading tree of blossoms and fruits,

And spreading tree of flowers and fruits,

وَمرشداً كَالقُطب سَعد الدين

وَمرشداً كَالقُطب سَعد الدين

إِلى طَريق القَوم وَالأَبرار

إِلى طَريق القَوم وَالأَبرار

and guide like the Pole, Saʿd al-Din,

And a guide like the spiritual Pole Sa‘d al-Din,

to the path of the Sufi folk and the righteous.

To the path of the spiritual folk and the righteous.

بُشراك يا اِبن الأَصفيا وَالأَتقيا

بُشراك يا اِبن الأَصفيا وَالأَتقيا

فَأَنتَ شَيخي صاحب الآثار

فَأَنتَ شَيخي صاحب الآثار

Glad tidings are yours, O son of the pure and God-fearing;

Glad tidings to you, O son of the pure and the God-fearing!

for you are my shaykh, keeper of the spiritual legacy,

For you are my sheikh, possessor of legacies,

وَكَعبة الهُدى وَكنز العافي

وَكَعبة الهُدى وَكنز العافي

وَقُبلة الصَلاة للأَخيار

وَقُبلة الصَلاة للأَخيار

the Kaaba of guidance and the bounty-seeker’s treasure,

And the Kaaba of guidance and the supplicant’s treasure,

and the qibla of prayer for the virtuous.
