بِمولد الزَهراء أخت البَدرِ

بِمولد الزَهراء أخت البَدرِ

I attained what I had hoped for in Egypt,

With the birth of al-Zahra, sister of the full moon.

بِمولد لي أَشرَقت أَنواره

بِمولد لي أَشرَقت أَنواره

في ثالث لِلعيد بَعدَ العَشر

في ثالث لِلعيد بَعدَ العَشر

With a birth whose lights shone for me,

On the third day of the feast, after the ten.

وَالمَجد لي مُهنئاً أَرَّخهُ

وَالمَجد لي مُهنئاً أَرَّخهُ

شَمس حَواء بَدَت في عَصري

شَمس حَواء بَدَت في عَصري

And Glory, congratulating me, recorded its date:

“Eve’s sun appeared in my time.”
