يا وارد الماء طب واشرب بعافيةٍ

وَصحةٍ مِن زلال بارد شافي

O you who come for water, be at ease and drink in well-being,

O passerby seeking water, drink and be refreshed

And health, from clear, cool, healing water.

With health from cool, healing springs

وقُل لِسيدة شادَت بِثَروتها

وقُل لِسيدة شادَت بِثَروتها

هَذا السَبيل لِصاد معسر عافي

هَذا السَبيل لِصاد معسر عافي

And say to the lady who built with her wealth

And tell the lady who built with her wealth

This fountain for a thirsty, needy supplicant:

This fountain for the poor and needy to find relief

نعم البِناء الَّذي مَجدي يُؤرخه

نعم البِناء الَّذي مَجدي يُؤرخه

سَبيل فيدان نَهل عَذبه صافي

How fine the building whose date Majdi records:

Indeed excellent is the structure whose glory

Fidan's fountain—a pure draught of its sweet water.
