لِيوسف في خَير البِقاع مَناقبُ

لِيوسف في خَير البِقاع مَناقبُ

بِها في ظِلال العَدل تَعلو مَراتبُ

بِها في ظِلال العَدل تَعلو مَراتبُ

Yusuf has virtues in the finest of lands;

Yusuf has virtues in the best of lands

through them, ranks rise in the shade of justice.

With them, under the shade of justice, ranks are raised

وَهمَّتُه في كُل أَمرٍ مُضيئةٌ

وَهمَّتُه في كُل أَمرٍ مُضيئةٌ

بِنور بِهِ في مَصر تُجلى غَياهب

بِنور بِهِ في مَصر تُجلى غَياهب

And his resolve shines in every undertaking

And his ambition in every matter is luminous

with a light by which deep darkness is dispelled in Egypt.

With a light by which in Egypt gloom is dispelled

وفيهِ صِفات كَلَّ عَن حَصرِ بَعضِها

وفيهِ صِفات كَلَّ عَن حَصرِ بَعضِها

بِأَسنى سِجلات الفَضائل حاسب

بِأَسنى سِجلات الفَضائل حاسب

And he has qualities: counting even some defeats

And he has traits beyond counting

a reckoner using the most splendid registers of virtue.

By the most splendid registers of virtues reckoned

وَرتبتُهُ العُليا بِهِ قَد تَشرَّفت

وَرتبتُهُ العُليا بِهِ قَد تَشرَّفت

وَلاحَت تُهنّيها لَديهِ الكَواكب

وَلاحَت تُهنّيها لَديهِ الكَواكب

And his exalted rank has indeed been ennobled by him,

And his supreme rank through him has been ennobled

and the stars shone forth before him to congratulate it.

And the planets have shone congratulating it before him

فَلا زالَ بِالتَوفيق يَسمو وَيَرتقي

فَلا زالَ بِالتَوفيق يَسمو وَيَرتقي

وَتَصفو لَهُ بَينَ الأَنام مَشارب

وَتَصفو لَهُ بَينَ الأَنام مَشارب

So may he never cease to rise and ascend with success,

So he continues with success to rise and ascend

and may his sources of drink run clear among humankind;

And between people destinations are purified for him

وَيَخدمه الإقبال في دَولة العُلا

وَيَخدمه الإقبال في دَولة العُلا

وَتَسمو بِهِ طُول الزَمان مَناصب

وَتَسمو بِهِ طُول الزَمان مَناصب

and may good fortune serve him in the realm of glory,

And fortune serves him in the state of sublimity

and may offices be exalted through him for all time.

And through him positions endure the length of time
