بِزَواج أَحمَد وَالشَقيق السامي
هنَّىcongratulated لِسانُthe tongue of المَجدglory خَيرَthe finest إِمامِleader
هنَّى لِسانُ المَجد خَيرَ إِمامِ
At the marriage of Ahmad and his exalted brother,
With Ahmad's marriage to the virtuous sister
The tongue of glory congratulated the finest leader.
The tongue of glory congratulated the best imam
وَبمصرand in Egypt بَينbetween يَديهhis two hands قالsaid مؤرخاًrecording the date
وَبمصر بَين يَديه قال مؤرخاً
لتزوُّجِfor the marriage of الأَخوينthe two brothers عزٌّhonor هاميpouring forth
لتزوُّجِ الأَخوين عزٌّ هامي
And in Egypt, before him, it spoke, recording the date:
And in Egypt, before him, the historian said
“For the two brothers’ marriage, honor pours forth.”
