يَأتيcomes بِفَتحwith a triumph عاجلٍswift وَقَريبِand imminent
يَأتي بِفَتح عاجلٍ وَقَريبِ
A fitting celebration for Tawfiq al-Jalila
Joy for Tawfiq al-Jalila's noble success
comes with a swift and imminent triumph.
Which brings swift and imminent victory
فَاِسعواso hasten, all of you إِلىto الداعيthe inviter بِدَربin Darb (Lane) سَعادةSaada (Happiness)
فَاِسعوا إِلى الداعي بِدَرب سَعادة
لِيَفوزso that he may gain مِنfrom تشريفكمyour honoring presence بِنَصيبa share
لِيَفوز مِن تشريفكم بِنَصيب
So hasten to the host in Darb Saada,
So hasten to the caller on the path of bliss
that he may receive a share of the honor of your presence.
To gain your share of his honor
فيin ظلthe shelter of دَولةthe rule of صادقone true to الوَعدthe promise الَّذيwho
في ظل دَولة صادق الوَعد الَّذي
تَصفوgrow serene بِهِthrough him أَوقاتthe hours of كُلevery حَبيبdear friend
تَصفو بِهِ أَوقات كُل حَبيب
Under the shelter of the rule of him who keeps his promise,
In the shadow of a state whose truthful promiser
through whom every dear friend’s hours grow serene.
Makes the times wholesome for every loved one
لازالَmay ever continue رَوضthe garden of الأُنسfellowship فيin أَيامهhis days
لازالَ رَوض الأُنس في أَيامه
يَزهوblooms بِحُسنwith beauty كاملperfect لمجيبfor one who responds
يَزهو بِحُسن كامل لمجيب
May the garden of fellowship in his days continue
The garden of intimacy still in his days
to bloom with perfect beauty for whoever answers the call.
Blossoms with perfect beauty for the answerer
