صَبا عَبد السَلام لَكَ الفُؤادُ

صَبا عَبد السَلام لَكَ الفُؤادُ

بِشَهر مُحرَّمٍ وَصَفا الوِدادُ

بِشَهر مُحرَّمٍ وَصَفا الوِدادُ

The heart has yearned for you, Abd al-Salam,

In the month of Muharram, and affection has grown pure.

وَجاءَكَ بِالسَعادة بَدر حُسنٍ

وَجاءَكَ بِالسَعادة بَدر حُسنٍ

بِهِ في المَهد قَد هامَت سُعاد

بِهِ في المَهد قَد هامَت سُعاد

And a full moon of beauty came to you with happiness,

Su'ad was already madly in love with him while he was in the cradle.

وَشَمس جَبينه الوَضاح تُهدَى

وَشَمس جَبينه الوَضاح تُهدَى

بِرُؤيَتِها مِن الغَيِّ العِباد

بِرُؤيَتِها مِن الغَيِّ العِباد

And the sun of his radiant brow guides

God's servants away from error through the sight of it.

لَهُ يُبقيك رَبُّك في نَعيم

لَهُ يُبقيك رَبُّك في نَعيم

وَسَعد لا يُفارقه سَداد

وَسَعد لا يُفارقه سَداد

May your Lord keep you for him in bliss,

And good fortune never forsaken by right guidance.

وَمَجدي لِلسُعود يَقول أَرّخ

وَمَجدي لِلسُعود يَقول أَرّخ

مُحَمد أَنتَ لِلشُرَفا فُؤاد

مُحَمد أَنتَ لِلشُرَفا فُؤاد

And Majdi, for good fortune, says: 'Record the date:

Muhammad, you are the heart of the noble.'
