Your virtues, when you pardon, are more bountiful and more generous;
Your character, if you pardon, is more generous and magnanimous.
and your justification, if you punish, is clearer and more evident.
And your justification, if you punish, is clearer and more evident.
وَإِنand if كانَthere is بَينbetween الخطتينthe two courses مزيةan advantage
وَإِن كانَ بَين الخطتين مزية
فَأَنتَthen you مِنof; from الأَدنىthe nearer إِلىto اللَهGod أَجنحmore inclined
فَأَنتَ مِن الأَدنى إِلى اللَه أَجنح
And if there is some distinction between the two courses,
And if one of the two courses has greater merit,
of the two, you incline more toward the one nearer to God.
Then you incline more toward the course nearer to God.

وَقال سيجزيني المَليك بفعلَتي
فَقالَthen he said سَأَعفوI will pardon عَنكَfrom you حالاًat once وَأَصفحand I will forgive

And he said, “The king will reward me for my deed.”
And he said, “The Sovereign will recompense me for my deed.”
So he said, “I shall pardon you at once and forgive.”
Then he said, “I will pardon you at once and forgive.”
