خَمس وَعشرون أردبّاً مِن البُرِّ

خَمس وَعشرون أردبّاً مِن البُرِّ

The yearly allowance in my home for my family

The annual provision in my home for my family

is twenty-five ardebs of wheat.

Twenty five bushels of wheat

وَالفول فيهِ لأَطيار وَماشية

وَالفول فيهِ لأَطيار وَماشية

سَبعٌ مقدّرة في العسر وَاليُسر

سَبعٌ مقدّرة في العسر وَاليُسر

And the fava beans there, for birds and livestock,

And beans for the birds and livestock

are seven ardebs, allotted in hardship and ease.

فَمر بإرسالها يا اِبن الكِرام وَفُز

فَمر بإرسالها يا اِبن الكِرام وَفُز

طُول المَدى مِن جَميع الناس بِالشُكر

طُول المَدى مِن جَميع الناس بِالشُكر

So order them sent, O son of the noble, and win

So pass on sending them, O son of nobles, and gain

the thanks of all people for all time.
