بُشرى سَليل أَبي التُقى زيدانِ

بُشرى سَليل أَبي التُقى زيدانِ

بِالعَفو يَوم العَرض وَالغُفرانِ

بِالعَفو يَوم العَرض وَالغُفرانِ

Glad tidings to the scion of Abu al-Tuqa Zaydan,

Good tidings, descendant of the pious Zaydan

Of pardon and forgiveness on the Day of Presentation,

Of pardon on the day of judgement and forgiveness

حَيث اِعتَنى ببناء أَبهى مسجدٍ

حَيث اِعتَنى ببناء أَبهى مسجدٍ

مِن ماله لعبادة المنّان

مِن ماله لعبادة المنّان

For he took care to build the most splendid mosque,

Where he cared to build the most beautiful mosque

From his wealth, for worship of the Bestower of Bounties.

With his own money for worship of the Benefactor

وَلدَى تَمام بِنائه أَرّخت ها

وَلدَى تَمام بِنائه أَرّخت ها

دَرويش شيّد مسجد الرحمن

دَرويش شيّد مسجد الرحمن

And when its construction was complete, I composed this chronogram—behold:

And when its construction was complete it was dated

Darwish built the mosque of the All-Merciful.

Dervish built the Mosque of the Most Merciful
