حج الأَمين وَفيُّ صحبة جدّه
خَيرthe best of الوَرىmankind جابَcrossed الفَيافيthe deserts وَالفَضاand the open expanses
خَير الوَرى جابَ الفَيافي وَالفَضا
Al-Amin made the pilgrimage, and in his grandfather’s company—
The faithful pilgrim, fulfilling his grandfather's company
the best of mankind—he crossed the deserts and open expanses.
The best of mortals traversed the wilderness and empty expanse
وَهُناكand there قُوبلwas received فيduring الزيارةthe visit بِالَّذيwith that which
وَهُناك قُوبل في الزيارة بِالَّذي
مِنهُfrom it محيّاthe face of كُلِّevery مقبولfavored one أَضاshone
مِنهُ محيّا كُلِّ مقبول أَضا
And there, during his visit, he was received with that
And there he was met on visitation by the one
through which the face of every favored one shone.
Through whom every approved one lives
وَالمَجدand Glory قالَsaid لَهُto him بمصرin Egypt مؤرخاًmarking the date
وَالمَجد قالَ لَهُ بمصر مؤرخاً
نالَattained الأَمينAl-Amin بحجهthrough his pilgrimage طيبthe sweetness of الرضىfavor
نالَ الأَمين بحجه طيب الرضى
And Glory said to him in Egypt, marking the date:
And Glory said to him in Egypt recorded
“Through his pilgrimage, Al-Amin attained the sweetness of favor.”
The faithful gained by his pilgrimage, sweet acceptance
