بِناwith us نَجتليwe behold الصَهباءthe tawny wine فيin كُلevery مَوسمِseason
بِنا نَجتلي الصَهباء في كُل مَوسمِ
عَلىto صحةhealth الصَدرthe chief الكَريمthe noble المعظمِthe revered
عَلى صحة الصَدر الكَريم المعظمِ
With us, we behold the tawny wine in every season,
With it we gather the rosy clouds every season
to the health of the noble, revered chief.
Over the health of the generous, glorious chest
وَنَحظىand we are favored مِنfrom الأَيامthe days تَحتَbeneath ظِلالهhis shade
وَنَحظى مِن الأَيام تَحتَ ظِلاله
بِماwith what نَشتَهيwe desire مِنof رفعةeminence وَتنعُّمand ease
بِما نَشتَهي مِن رفعة وَتنعُّم
And beneath his shade, we are favored by the days
And we are fortunate in days under its shade
with the eminence and ease we desire.
With what we desire of elevation and luxury
فلاso may ... not زالَhe cease مَعwith أَشبالهhis cubs طُولthroughout دَهرهhis lifetime
فلا زالَ مَع أَشباله طُول دَهره
لِمصرto Egypt عَزيزاًdear ناشراًspreading للتقدّمfor progress
لِمصر عَزيزاً ناشراً للتقدّم
So may he, with his cubs, throughout his life,
It still remains with its cubs the length of its time
remain dear to Egypt, spreading progress.
