بِمَكارمthrough noble deeds الملكthe king السَعيدthe fortunate (Saʿid) قَدindeed اِزدَهَتhave blossomed
بِمَكارم الملك السَعيد قَد اِزدَهَت
أَنوارthe lights of والدهhis father الكَريمthe noble الأَمجَدِthe most glorious
أَنوار والده الكَريم الأَمجَدِ
Through King Saʿid’s noble deeds have blossomed
With the virtues of the prosperous king, it became illuminated
the lights of his noble, most glorious father.
The lights of his noble and glorious father
وَسَحائبand clouds الرضوانdivine favor عَمَّتenveloped جسمهhis body
وَسَحائب الرضوان عَمَّت جسمه
فيin رَوضةa garden زانَتadorned بِقاعthe grounds of المَسجدthe mosque
في رَوضة زانَت بِقاع المَسجد
And clouds of divine favor have enveloped his body
And clouds of contentment enveloped his body
in a garden that adorned the mosque’s grounds.
In a garden adorned with the regions of the temple
فيin رَوضةa garden طافَتcircled مَلائكةthe angels of السَماheaven
في رَوضة طافَت مَلائكة السَما
مِنfrom حَولِهاaround it بِضَريحat the tomb of هَذاthis الأَوحَدpeerless one
مِن حَولِها بِضَريح هَذا الأَوحَد
In a garden, the angels of heaven circled
In a garden encircled by the angels of the sky
around it, at the tomb of this peerless one.
Around it with the shrine of this unique one
وَغَدَتand became مُبشرةًbearing glad tidings لمحييto the reviver of ذكرهhis memory
وَغَدَت مُبشرةً لمحيي ذكره
فيin كُلevery عامyear بِالبَقاof lasting life وَالسؤددand eminence
في كُل عام بِالبَقا وَالسؤدد
And they brought glad tidings to the reviver of his memory,
And it became good news for the revivers of his remembrance
each year, of long life and eminence.
Every year with permanence and eternity
لاmay he not زالَcease فيin رَمَضانRamadan مُحتَفِلاًcelebrating بِماwith that which
لا زالَ في رَمَضان مُحتَفِلاً بِما
تَسموrise in glory بِهِthrough it أَيامthe days of هَذاthis المَولدbirth festival
تَسمو بِهِ أَيام هَذا المَولد
May he ever, in Ramadan, celebrate with that
He still celebrates in Ramadan what
by which the days of this birth festival are exalted.
The days of this birth rise to
وَاِزدادَand may he increase إِقبالاًin prosperity بِدَولتهthrough his reign الَّتيwhich
وَاِزدادَ إِقبالاً بِدَولته الَّتي
تُوميbeckons لَهُto him بِبنانِwith the fingertips of مُلكٍkingship سرمديeverlasting
تُومي لَهُ بِبنانِ مُلكٍ سرمدي
And may he grow in prosperity through his reign, which
And he became more inclined with his state which
beckons to him with the fingertips of everlasting kingship.
Promises him with the building blocks of an eternal kingdom
أحياrevived سعيدٌSaʿid ذكرَthe remembrance of اسمthe name of محمدMuhammad
أحيا سعيدٌ ذكرَ اسم محمد
Saʿid revived the remembrance of Muhammad’s name.
