هَذا ضَريح كَريمة مَرحومة

هَذا ضَريح كَريمة مَرحومة

سَلَكَت بِدُنياها طَريق الحَقِّ

سَلَكَت بِدُنياها طَريق الحَقِّ

This is the tomb of a noble woman granted mercy.

This is the tomb of a generous deceased,

In her earthly life she followed the path of truth.

Who walked in life the path of truth,

وَلَدى المحرّم لِلجنان تَوجهت

وَلَدى المحرّم لِلجنان تَوجهت

تَرجو مِن المَولى عَظيم الرفق

تَرجو مِن المَولى عَظيم الرفق

And in Muharram she headed toward the gardens of Paradise.

And at the forbidden turned towards paradise,

Hoping for great kindness from the Lord.

Seeking from her Lord great kindness,

فَالفَوز أَنشدها يَقول مؤرخاً

فَالفَوز أَنشدها يَقول مؤرخاً

سُلُمٌ هنا فرحت بِدار النطق

سُلُمٌ هنا فرحت بِدار النطق

So triumph sang to her, saying in a chronogram:

For triumph she yearned, says the chronicler,

A ladder is here; she rejoiced in the abode of speech.

Peace here, she rejoiced in the abode of speech.
