فُطِمتَ أَيا عَبّادُ يا اِبنَ الفَواطِمِ

فُطِمتَ أَيا عَبّادُ يا اِبنَ الفَواطِمِ

فَقالَ لَكَ الساداتِ من آلِ هاشِمِ

فَقالَ لَكَ الساداتِ من آلِ هاشِمِ

You were weaned, O Abbad, O son of the Fatimas.

You were weaned, O worshipers, O son of weaned ones

Then the nobles of the house of Hashim said to you:

Thus the masters from Hashim's lineage told you

لَئِن فَطَموهُ عن رِضاع لبانِهِ

لَئِن فَطَموهُ عن رِضاع لبانِهِ

فَما فَطَموهُ عَن رِضاع المَكارِم

فَما فَطَموهُ عَن رِضاع المَكارِم

Even if they have weaned him from suckling his milk,

If they weaned him from the suckling of his milk

Yet they have not weaned him from suckling noble virtues.

They did not wean him from suckling noble traits
