الناسُ في أَخلاقِهِم أَصنافُ

الناسُ في أَخلاقِهِم أَصنافُ

وَأَقَلُّهُم فيهِ نُهىً وَعفافُ

وَأَقَلُّهُم فيهِ نُهىً وَعفافُ

People are of many kinds in their character;

And rarest among them are those with reason and chastity.

لا تَصحَبَنَّ سِوى التَقِيِّ أَخي الحجي

لا تَصحَبَنَّ سِوى التَقِيِّ أَخي الحجي

اِنَّ القَرينَ إِلى القَرينِ يُضافُ

اِنَّ القَرينَ إِلى القَرينِ يُضافُ

Keep company with none but the pious man of wisdom,

For a companion is linked to his companion.
