أَشهَدُI bear witness بِاللَهِby God وَآلائِهِand His blessings
أَشهَدُ بِاللَهِ وَآلائِهِ
شَهادَةًa testimony خالِصَةًsincere صادِقَهtruthful
شَهادَةً خالِصَةً صادِقَه
I bear witness by God and His blessings,
I bear witness by Allah and His signs
With sincere, truthful testimony,
A sincere and truthful testimony
أَنَّthat عَليَّAli بنَson of أَبيfather of طالِبٍTalib
أَنَّ عَليَّ بنَ أَبي طالِبٍ
زَوجَةُthe wife مَنof whoever يُبغِضُهُhates him طالِقَهis divorced
زَوجَةُ مَن يُبغِضُهُ طالِقَه
That, as for Ali ibn Abi Talib,
That Ali son of Abi Talib
The wife of whoever hates him is divorced—
The wife of whoever hates him is divorced
ثَلاثَةٌthree (divorces) لَيسَthere is no لَهاfor her رجعَةٌrevocation
ثَلاثَةٌ لَيسَ لَها رجعَةٌ
طالِقَةٌdivorced طالِقَةٌdivorced طالِقَهdivorced
طالِقَةٌ طالِقَةٌ طالِقَه
Three times, with no revocation:
Thrice with no return
Divorced, divorced, divorced.
