اِنَّ الغَويرِيَّ لهُ نَكهَةٌ

اِنَّ الغَويرِيَّ لهُ نَكهَةٌ

بَنَتنِها أَربت عَلى الكَنفِ

بَنَتنِها أَربت عَلى الكَنفِ

Indeed, al-Ghuwayri's breath has an odor;

In its stench, it surpasses the privies.

يا لَيتَهُ كانَ بِلا نَكهَةٍ

يا لَيتَهُ كانَ بِلا نَكهَةٍ

أَو لَيتَني كنت بِلا أَنفِ

أَو لَيتَني كنت بِلا أَنفِ

Oh, would that he had no odor to his breath,

Or would that I had no nose.
