سَيَشهَدُwill bear witness أَبناءُsons المَفاخِرglorious deeds كُلُّهُمall of them
سَيَشهَدُ أَبناءُ المَفاخِر كُلُّهُم
بِأَنَّto the fact that مَضيعَone who neglects الأَكرَمينthe noblest مُضَيَّعُneglected
بِأَنَّ مَضيعَ الأَكرَمين مُضَيَّعُ
All scions of glory shall bear witness
All the sons of glory will bear witness
that whoever forsakes the noblest is himself forsaken.
That whoever neglects the noblest is himself neglected.
يزعزعُكَshake you loose الواشونَthe slanderers عنfrom حومَةthe heart العلىglory
يزعزعُكَ الواشونَ عن حومَة العلى
وَكانَand it was بَعيداًunlikely أَنthat يُزَعزَعَbe shaken لَعلَعLaʿlaʿ
وَكانَ بَعيداً أَن يُزَعزَعَ لَعلَع
The tale-bearers would shake you from the stronghold of high honor,
The slanderers shake you loose from the heart of glory,
though it was unthinkable that Mount La‘la‘ could be shaken.
And it was unlikely that Laʿlaʿ could be shaken.
