صَرَّحتُI spoke openly فيin حُبِّيَmy love عَنabout شَكلِهِhis appearance
صَرَّحتُ في حُبِّيَ عَن شَكلِهِ
وَلَمand did not أُصِخI heed فيهِconcerning it إِلىto غذلِهِhis reproach (likely intended: عَذْلِهِ)
وَلَم أُصِخ فيهِ إِلى غذلِهِ
I spoke openly, in my love, of his appearance.
I have revealed the form of my love,
And I paid no heed to his reproach concerning it.
Yet I didn't incline towards its folly,
وَبُحتُand I revealed لِلعالَمِto the world بِاِسمِthe name of الهَوىlove
وَبُحتُ لِلعالَمِ بِاِسمِ الهَوى
فَليَقعُدso let him sit المُغتابُthe backbiter فيin نَزلِهِhis lodging
فَليَقعُد المُغتابُ في نَزلِهِ
And I revealed to the world the name of love.
And I have proclaimed my passion to the world,
So let the backbiter sit in his lodging.
So let the slanderer stay in his abode.
