شُرِّفتَyou were honored بِالأَمسِyesterday بِنَقلِby moving الخُطىthe steps
شُرِّفتَ بِالأَمسِ بِنَقلِ الخُطى
حَتّىuntil اِنقَضَتcame to an end ليfor me لَيلَةٌa night صالِحَهpleasant
حَتّى اِنقَضَت لي لَيلَةٌ صالِحَه
You were honored yesterday by taking steps,
You were honored yesterday by the transfer of steps,
Until a pleasant night had passed for me.
Until for me a wholesome night passed away.
فَعُدso return بِهاwith it حَتّىso that تَقولَmay say الوَرىpeople
فَعُد بِها حَتّى تَقولَ الوَرى
ماhow أَشبَهَsimilar اللَيلَةَtonight بِالبارِحَهto last night
ما أَشبَهَ اللَيلَةَ بِالبارِحَه
So bring it back, so that people may say:
So return with it until the people say:
How similar tonight is to last night!
How this night resembles last night!
