أَهلاً وَسَهلاً يا رَسولَ الرِضى

شَنَّفتَ سَمعي بِلَذيذِ الكَلام

شَنَّفتَ سَمعي بِلَذيذِ الكَلام

Welcome, O messenger of favor!

Welcome, welcome O messenger of contentment

You have adorned my hearing with delightful speech.

You have delighted my hearing with the sweetness of your speech

تُهدي سَلاماً مِن حَبيبٍ لَنا

تُهدي سَلاماً مِن حَبيبٍ لَنا

عَليكَ مِنّا وَعَليهِ السَلام

عَليكَ مِنّا وَعَليهِ السَلام

You bring greetings from a beloved of ours.

You bring greetings from a beloved one to us

Peace from us be upon you and upon him.

Peace be upon you from us, and peace be upon him

فَاِشهَد بِما شَهِدتَ مِن حالَتي

فَاِشهَد بِما شَهِدتَ مِن حالَتي

وَصِف جُنوني إِذ يَجُنُّ الظَلام

وَصِف جُنوني إِذ يَجُنُّ الظَلام

So bear witness to what you have witnessed of my condition,

So bear witness to what you have witnessed of my state

And describe my madness when darkness falls.

وَإِن تَغافَلتَ وَأَغفَلتَها

وَإِن تَغافَلتَ وَأَغفَلتَها

عَليكَ فيها لا عَلَيَّ المَلام

عَليكَ فيها لا عَلَيَّ المَلام

And if you feign heedlessness and neglect it,

And if you are heedless and neglect it

The blame for it falls on you, not on me.

The blame is on you, not on me
