قَدalready قَضَيناwe have spent العُمرَthe lifetime فيin مَطلِكُمُyour stalling
قَد قَضَينا العُمرَ في مَطلِكُمُ
وَظَنَنّاand we thought وَعدَكُمyour promise كانَwas مَناماa dream
وَظَنَنّا وَعدَكُم كانَ مَناما
We have spent our lifetime enduring your delays,
We have already spent our lives enduring your delays,
And thought your promise was merely a dream.
And we thought your promise was a dream.
أَإِذاis it when مُتناwe die نَرىwe see وَعدَكُمُyour promise
أَإِذا مُتنا نَرى وَعدَكُمُ
أَمor إِذاwhen كُنّاwe are تُراباًdust وَعِظاماand bones
أَم إِذا كُنّا تُراباً وَعِظاما
Is it when we die that we shall see your promise,
Shall we see your promise when we die,
Or when we have become dust and bones?
Or when we are dust and bones?
