تُؤنِسُنيkeeps me company الوَحدَةُsolitude فيin خَلوَتيmy seclusion
تُؤنِسُني الوَحدَةُ في خَلوَتي
وَهَذِهِand this مِنof صِفَةِa trait العالِمِthe scholar
وَهَذِهِ مِن صِفَةِ العالِمِ
Solitude keeps me company in my seclusion,
and this is a trait of the scholar.
مَنwhoever يَكُis بِالعالَمِin the world مُستَأنِساًfinding companionship
مَن يَكُ بِالعالَمِ مُستَأنِساً
فَإِنَّنيfor indeed I مِنِّيَfrom myself فيin عالَمِa world
فَإِنَّني مِنِّيَ في عالَمِ
Whoever finds companionship in the world—
I, for my part, dwell in a world of my own.
