مَولايَmy lord هَذاthis قَدَرٌan amount واهِنٌpaltry
مَولايَ هَذا قَدَرٌ واهِنٌ
يُخبِرُreveals عَنabout قِلَّةِthe scantness of مَيسوريmy means
يُخبِرُ عَن قِلَّةِ مَيسوري
My lord, this is a paltry amount,
My Master, this is a weak fate
revealing the scantness of my means.
That speaks of my scarce means
لَيسَis not عَلىcommensurate with قَدريmy worth وَلاnor قَدرِكُمyour worth
لَيسَ عَلى قَدري وَلا قَدرِكُم
لَكِنbut عَلىaccording to مِقدارِthe extent of مَقدوريwhat I can afford
لَكِن عَلى مِقدارِ مَقدوري
It is commensurate neither with my worth nor with yours,
It is not up to my capacity or yours
but only with what I can afford.
But up to the extent of what is destined for me
