وَلائي لِآلِ المُصطَفى عِقدُ مَذهَبي

وَلائي لِآلِ المُصطَفى عِقدُ مَذهَبي

وَقَلبِيَ مِن حُبِّ الصَحابَةِ مُفعَمُ

وَقَلبِيَ مِن حُبِّ الصَحابَةِ مُفعَمُ

My allegiance to the family of the Chosen One is the bond of my creed,

My allegiance is to the Prophet's family, the creed I profess

and my heart overflows with love for the Companions.

And my heart is filled with love for his companions

وَما أَنا مِمَّن يَستَجيزُ بِحُبِّهِم

وَما أَنا مِمَّن يَستَجيزُ بِحُبِّهِم

مَسَبَّةَ أَقوامٍ عَليهِم تَقَدَّموا

مَسَبَّةَ أَقوامٍ عَليهِم تَقَدَّموا

And I am not one who, out of love for them, considers it permissible

I am not one who thinks it right to express love for them

to revile people who came before them.

By reviling others who came before them

وَلَكِنَّني أُعطي الفَريقَينِ حَقَّهُم

وَلَكِنَّني أُعطي الفَريقَينِ حَقَّهُم

وَرَبّي بِحالِ الأَفضَلِيَّةِ أَعلَمُ

وَرَبّي بِحالِ الأَفضَلِيَّةِ أَعلَمُ

But I give both groups their due,

Rather I give each group its due right

and my Lord knows best who is superior.

And my Lord knows best who is superior

فَمَن شاءَ تَعويجي فَإِنّي مُعَوَّجٌ

فَمَن شاءَ تَعويجي فَإِنّي مُعَوَّجٌ

وَمَن شاءَ تَقويمي فَإِنّي مُقَوَّمُ

وَمَن شاءَ تَقويمي فَإِنّي مُقَوَّمُ

So whoever wishes me crooked, I am crooked;

So let him who wishes view me as biased

and whoever wishes me straight, I am straight.

And let him who wishes view me as even-handed
