قَدindeed كُنتُI was أَصبِرُI endure وَالدِيارُwhile the dwellings بَعيدَةٌfar away
فَاليَومَso today قَدindeed قَرُبَتthey have drawn near وَصَبرِيَand my patience فَانيspent
I used to endure while the dwellings were far away;
I used to be patient when the homes were far away
yet today they have drawn near, and my patience is spent.
But today they have come near, and my patience is gone

لِتَضاعُفِbecause of the redoubling of الحَسَراتِsorrows بِالحِرمانِthrough deprivation
