حَداني إِلى ما لَم يَكُن مِن سَجِيَّتي

حَداني إِلى ما لَم يَكُن مِن سَجِيَّتي

فَأَحوَجَني بِالقَولِ مِنهُ إِلى الفِعلِ

فَأَحوَجَني بِالقَولِ مِنهُ إِلى الفِعلِ

He impelled me to what was not in my nature.

He led me to what was not of my nature

So, by his words, he compelled me to act.

So he made me, by his words, turn to action

وَأَحوَجَني بِالجَورِ عَن سُنَنِ الوَفا

وَأَحوَجَني بِالجَورِ عَن سُنَنِ الوَفا

فَأَخرَجَني بِالجَورِ عَن سُنَنِ العَدلِ

فَأَخرَجَني بِالجَورِ عَن سُنَنِ العَدلِ

And through injustice he forced me away from the paths of fidelity.

And he led me by injustice from ways of loyalty

So, through injustice he drove me away from the paths of justice.
