أَمَرَ اللَهُ أَن يُطيعَكَ لُبّي

أَمَرَ اللَهُ أَن يُطيعَكَ لُبّي

حينَ وَلاّكَ أَمرَ جِسمي وَقَلبي

حينَ وَلاّكَ أَمرَ جِسمي وَقَلبي

God commanded that my mind obey you

My heart obeys You as God decreed

when He entrusted you with the affairs of my body and my heart.

When You took charge of my body and soul

لَم أَقُل ذاكَ عَن ضَلالٍ وَلَكِن

لَم أَقُل ذاكَ عَن ضَلالٍ وَلَكِن

أَنتَ رَوحي وَالروحُ مِن أَمرِ رَبّي

أَنتَ رَوحي وَالروحُ مِن أَمرِ رَبّي

I did not say that out of error, but

I do not say this out of misguidance, but

you are my soul, and the soul is of my Lord’s command.

You are my spirit, and the spirit is by my Lord's command

يا سَمِيَّ النَبِيِّ في سورَةِ الصَف

يا سَمِيَّ النَبِيِّ في سورَةِ الصَف

فِ وَمَن بِاِسمِهِ تُشَرَّفُ كُتُبي

فِ وَمَن بِاِسمِهِ تُشَرَّفُ كُتُبي

O namesake of the Prophet in Surah al-Saff,

O most noble of prophets named in Surat Al-Saf

and you by whose name my writings are honored,

The one by whose name my books are ennobled

أَنتَ حَسبي مِن كُلِّ مَن وَطِئَ الأَر

أَنتَ حَسبي مِن كُلِّ مَن وَطِئَ الأَر

ضَ وَحَسبي بِأَنَّ مِثلَكَ حَسبي

ضَ وَحَسبي بِأَنَّ مِثلَكَ حَسبي

you suffice me among all who have trodden the earth,

You are enough for me against all who tread the earth

and it is enough for me that one like you suffices me.

And it is enough for me that one like you is enough for me
