لَئِن حَكَمَت بِفُرقَتِنا اللَيالي

وَراعَتنا بِبُعدٍ بَعدَ قُربِ

Even if the nights decree our separation

And distance parts us after closeness

فَشَخصُكَ لا يَزالُ جَليسَ عَيني

وَذِكرُكَ لا يَزالُ أَنيسَ قَلبي

Your image remains my eyes' companion

And thoughts of you remain my heart's friend
