عُزيتَ إِلى آلِ بَيتِ النَبِيَّ

عُزيتَ إِلى آلِ بَيتِ النَبِيَّ

وَأَنتَ بِضِدِّهِمُ في الصَلاحِ

وَأَنتَ بِضِدِّهِمُ في الصَلاحِ

You are said to belong to the Prophet's household,

Yet you are their opposite in righteousness.

وَإِن صَحَّ أَنَّكَ مِن نَسلِهِم

وَإِن صَحَّ أَنَّكَ مِن نَسلِهِم

فَقَد يَنبُتُ الشَوكُ بَينَ الأَقاحِ

فَقَد يَنبُتُ الشَوكُ بَينَ الأَقاحِ

And if it is true that you are of their lineage,

For thorns may indeed grow among daisies.
