كانَ قَبلَ الهَوى قَوِيّاً مَلِيّاً

O you with languid eyelids, you have weakened a heart

O weak-eyed one, you have weakened a heart

لا تُحارِب بِناظِرَيكَ فُؤادي

فَضَعيفانِ يَغلِبانِ قَوِيّاً

Do not wage war on my heart with your two eyes,
