وأعجمي أخرس ناطق

وأعجمي أخرس ناطق

له لسان مستطاب الكرم

له لسان مستطاب الكرم

And a foreigner, mute yet speaking,

has a tongue whose generosity delights,

مناجيا في الحجر ربا له

مناجيا في الحجر ربا له

طورا وفي البيت العتيق الحرام

طورا وفي البيت العتيق الحرام

communing with his lord in the Hijr

at times, and in the ancient Sacred House.
