A gold coin is like the pupil of the eye, which
The vigour of the young is like sight's vision which
One uses to behold the far-off and the near.
Contemplates the distant and the near alike
وَلَرُبَّand many a إِنسانٍperson بِلاwithout عَينٍmoney (also: an eye) غَداhas become
وَكَأَنَّهُand as though he were عَينٌan eye بِلاwithout إِنسانِa pupil (also: a person)
And many a man without money has become
And many a man without eyes will rise tomorrow
Like an eye without a pupil.
As if he were an eye without a man inside
