Welcome, welcome to the champions of revelry!

Their gray steeds are their brown lances when night falls.

They tore apart the host of darkness and waded

Through its dust with light, so it lifted from us,

With lances bearing spearheads of fire

That have annihilated the armies of night by thrusting.

    Their spearpoint sways, unflagging,

And their shafts, in their might, do not bend.

If they wish to plant them upright upon brocade,

They place a shield beneath each supple shaft.
