إِن كُنتُ قَد غِبتُ لا تَزُرني

إِن كُنتُ قَد غِبتُ لا تَزُرني

وَكُلَّما غِبتَ لا أَزورُ

وَكُلَّما غِبتَ لا أَزورُ

If I have been absent, do not visit me;

Though I'm oft away, reproach me not,

And whenever you are absent, I do not visit you.

Each time you're gone, I visit not.

فَإِنَّ هَذا الصُدودَ قَصدٌ

فَإِنَّ هَذا الصُدودَ قَصدٌ

وَإِنَّ ذاكَ الوَدادَ زورُ

وَإِنَّ ذاكَ الوَدادَ زورُ

For this shunning is deliberate,

For distance intentional,

And that affection is a sham.

And friendship superficial.
