فَرَرتُI fled منfrom قَطرٍrain إلىto مَثعَبٍa rainspout
فَرَرتُ من قَطرٍ إلى مَثعَبٍ
عليَّupon me بالوابِلِwith the downpour مُثعَنجِرُgushing profusely
عليَّ بالوابِلِ مُثعَنجِرُ
I fled from rain to a rainspout,
I fled from a drop to a downpour
Gushing a downpour upon me.
Raining on me in torrents
ألبابthe door فانصبso set it up حيثماwherever يشتهيhe wishes
ألباب فانصب حيثما يشتهي
صاحبهاits owner فهوfor he بهabout it أبصَرُknows better
صاحبها فهو به أبصَرُ
Set up the door wherever it pleases
Oh rain, pour wherever you wish
Its owner, for he knows best about it.
For its owner sees best
