إِذْwhen تَبَعَfollowed الضَحَّاكَal-Dahhak كُلُّevery مُلْحِدِheretic
إِذْ تَبَعَ الضَحَّاكَ كُلُّ مُلْحِدِ
وَنَحنُand we ضَرَّابُونَfierce smiters هامheads العُنَّدِthe defiant
وَنَحنُ ضَرَّابُونَ هام العُنَّدِ
If every godless man follows al-Ḍaḥḥāk,
When every heretic followed al-Dahhak,
while we are smiters of the heads of the defiant,
And we are fierce smiters of the heads of the defiant.
فَداكَmay he be your ransom مِنْهُمْfrom among them كُلُّevery عَوْقworthless man أَصْلَدِmiserly
فَداكَ مِنْهُمْ كُلُّ عَوْق أَصْلَدِ
may every unyielding neck among them be sacrificed for you!
May every worthless miser among them be your ransom.
Sol 6.1
