لَمَّا رَأَبْنا مِنهُمُ مُغْتاظا

لَمَّا رَأَبْنا مِنهُمُ مُغْتاظا

تَعْرِفُ مِنْهُ اللُؤْمَ وَالفِظاظا

تَعْرِفُ مِنْهُ اللُؤْمَ وَالفِظاظا

When we set right an enraged man among them,

You recognize in him baseness and harshness;

يُحْذِيهِ طَعْناً لَمْ يَكُنْ إِلْماظا

يُحْذِيهِ طَعْناً لَمْ يَكُنْ إِلْماظا

He bestows on him thrusts that were no mere tasting.
